BrainPOP Educators, the teacher community of BrainPOP, features free lesson plans, video tutorials, professional development tools, graphic organizers, best practices, and much more. They came to SlipFire wanting to build a true community site, where teachers can interact with each other and share information. So, using a combination of WordPress muliti-site and BuddyPress, we worked with the BrainPOP team to create the ideal teacher community. Since the community was just one of many BrainPOP websites, we also built real-time data syncing between BrainPOP.com and BuddyPress, and imported data for over 130,000 users.
Features Include: Member profiles, forums, groups, integrated blog, custom widgets, front-end spell checking, single sign-on and real-time syncing between multiple sites.
